The 2010 ASP Team will be teaming up with Westover United Methodist Church this year to send two work teams to Mullens WV. A group of 12 will represent both churches as they help finish up two projects the week of August 1 – 7, 2010.
Appalachia Service Project
Appalachia Service Project (ASP) is a Christian ministry, open to all people, that fosters human development by addressing the housing needs of Central Appalachia. Macedonia UMC uses this mission statement each year as their guidance when developing a team to go on this very important mission of the church. Participants are both youth and adults, where the youth must be 14 years of age and have completed the 8th grade. Each team will have at least 4 people and no more than 7, two of which must be adults.
The teams, with the involvement of the youth, will participate in this mission in the summer months. If you are interested in joining or participating in ASP, please contact Henry Gibbs at 467-3329 or email at hohwr@juno.com
