SPRING RING – Please join us on Sunday evening, June 3 at 6:30pm in the newly renovated Chapel for a relaxing concert brought to you by the Maker’s Dozen Handbell Choir as we celebrate ten years of handbells at Macedonia. This hour of music will be filled with some of your favorite hymns which have been specifically arranged for handbell choirs and will highlight the unique skills and techniques of our ringers. A reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall.

MACEDONIA WELCOMES their newest handbell choir, The Melody Makers. The new choir made their sanctuary ringing debut in late January and has been ringing monthly ever since. This choir rings beginning level music and meets on Wednesday nights from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. We do have an open position so if you would like to join us, please contact Lori Lomelino at lomelino@bellsouth.net. Look for us to ring with the Maker’s Dozen Handbell Choir at Macedonia’s annual Spring Ring on June 2, 2012.

The Maker’s Dozen Handbell Choir attended the Capital Area Handbell Festival in Raleigh on November 4 – 5, 2011. This was the 22nd annual festival presented under the auspices of the Raleigh Ringers and a first at this festival for our handbell choir. Under the baton of guest conductor/composer Fred Gramann of the American Church in Paris, France, 504 ringers from 53 handbell choirs rehearsed together for two days with over 4000 handbells and tone chimes ringing together. At the culmination of the festival, the choirs presented a massed handbell choir concert to perform the six selections to the community, family and friends of the choirs.
