Nursery: Nursery care is provided on Sundays for infants and toddlers (through age 2) during adult Sunday School and through the worship service (9:00 – 11:30am). The nursery (entrance off of Narthex) is staffed by loving volunteers in a child-friendly and safe environment.* Pagers are available for parents.

Children’s Sunday School: Care is provided during the adult Sunday School hour, and Sunday School for children ages 3 years to 5th grade is held during the Sunday worship service, immediately after the Time With Young Disciples. Caring adults provide a fun, age-appropriate opportunity for fellowship with activities designed to develop their faith and make connections between Scripture and everyday life. Our current curriculum is the Group Hands on Bible.

Time with Young Disciples: Our worship service includes a short time for children to “get the wiggles out” and have seeds of faith planted and nurtured through the sharing of Bible stories and other child-friendly lessons. Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14). We invite all children to join us in the sanctuary, then follow us to Children’s Church during the worship service. On Sundays when Communion is offered, children join their families at the Lord’s Table.

Vacation Bible School (VBS): Each summer during June we offer a VBS curriculum for children ages 3 years to 5th grade. An energetic team of adult and youth volunteers help children learn about God’s love by through bible lessons, crafts, games, and lots of fun and fellowship.

Our adult volunteers love working with the girls but we’re always looking for new ways to increase their knowledge and involvement in the community to broaden their world. If you have a special skill set, hobby, think your place of employment would be a neat place for our girls to tour, or would like to volunteer in other ways, please contact Angie Gehrt or Cindy Nolte.
